More than 100 nonprofit and charitable organizations participated in the capacity assessment survey that was done in collaboration with Nonprofit Sector Link. The high response rate provided invaluable information to help us better understand the sector as a whole as well as identifying areas for improvement. Local capacity-building groups can use this data to develop training and professional development programs designed to address these gaps.
One of the key outcomes identified in the project’s Theory of Change is to see a change in capacity for community organizations in Wood Buffalo. The Capacity Assessment Survey will be repeated annually so that changes in capacity can be tracked and measured.
