Creative Day For Social Good Concludes Successfully!
Capacity Canada’s Creative Day for Social Good (CD4SG) concluded successfully this month. Around 100 students pursuing Public Relations and Graphic Design from Conestoga College teamed up with industry professionals to create free-of-cost marketing tools for the participating charitable non-profits. This year, 11 non-profits were selected from across Canada to be part of CD4SG. The two-day design event was hosted virtually on October 20th and 21st.
The annual event, in partnership with Intertek Catalyst, Conestoga College, HIM&HER, and the creative community, is an excellent opportunity for organizations with small to no marketing budgets to receive valuable design and marketing tools for no cost. It has made it possible for charitable non-profits to access professional resources to build their brand and have a more significant social impact. The teams together produced more than $100,000 of pro bono work!
The following organizations participated in CD4SG:
- Action Read Community Literacy Centre
- Hospice of Waterloo Region
- National Service Dog
- Education 4 Change
- Shelter Movers Waterloo Region
- Construct
- Helping Hands
- Cambridge Community Players
- Waterloo Region Suicide Prevention Council
- Early Childhood Professional Resource Centre
- Saving Animals from Euthanasia (SAFE) Team
Watch this space to learn more about the participating organizations and the marketing tools created by the students. Visit our website for information.
