Our Annual Report

Capacity Canada released its 2020 Annual Report on April 23, 2021. Over the years, Capacity Canada has worked with more than 10,000 non-profit organizations across the country, building their capacity in the areas of Board Governance, Strategic Planning, Board Matching, Design Thinking, and much more. The report gives its readers a detailed picture of the organization’s work and the milestones it has achieved in the past year.

Chris Howlett Award

To honour its longest standing-supporter and volunteer, Chris Howlett, Capacity Canada announced a new award this year, the Chris Howlett Award. The award recognizes Chris’s invaluable role in the success of Capacity Canada. A software developer by profession, Chris is a valued and precious mentor to Capacity Canada. In addition to sharing his knowledge and experience with Capacity Canada as a volunteer coach, Chris and his wife Lynn have been our most generous donors each year since 2010.

Creating a Diverse and Equitable Non-Profit World

As a non-profit organization that believes in improving the quality of life of individuals and strengthening communities across the country, Capacity Canada understands the importance of creating an inclusive and diverse organization accessible to all. This year at Capacity Canada’s annual celebration held on April 23, 2021, we were honoured with the presence of Olumide (Mide) Akerewusi, Founder and CEO of AgentsC, and Nneka Allen, Philanthropist and Founder of The Empathy Agency.

Hall of Fame

Capacity Canada recognizes its responsibility to highlight and acknowledge the contributions of organizations and individuals making a difference in their communities. With a goal to share stories of impact on behalf of charities and non-profits across the country, Capacity Canada has redesigned its website to now include a Hall of Fame that showcases the extraordinary impacts of people who serve and support the non-profit sector.
