Are you passionate about supporting children, youth, and families? Do you believe in creating opportunities for all young people to succeed? BGC Durham is seeking dedicated and community-minded individuals to join our Volunteer Board of Directors.
About Us:
BGC Durham (formerly Boys and Girls Club of Durham) has been a cornerstone of our community for over 60 years, offering inclusive, life-changing programs and services that empower children and youth.
Why Join the Board?
As a board member, you’ll help guide our strategic direction, support fundraising and advocacy efforts, and ensure strong governance and accountability. This is a great opportunity to contribute your expertise while learning more about nonprofit leadership.
We’re Looking For Individuals With Experience In:
Governance or nonprofit leadership
Finance, law, or human resources
Fundraising and donor engagement
Communications and marketing
Community development or social services
Board members must:
Commit to a two-year term (renewable)
Attend monthly board meetings (virtual or in-person)
Serve on at least one board committee
Act as an ambassador for BGC Durham in the community
