We’re looking for someone like you to join our Board of Directors.
Canadian Mental Health Association Waterloo Wellington (CMHA WW) is a non-profit organization that supports diverse communities to achieve the quality of life they desire. As one of the largest community mental health agencies in Ontario, we provide a full range of mental health and developmental programs and services for Waterloo and Wellington residents.

CMHA WW is inviting applications for the following positions:
Role and Term | Time Commitment |
Board Member
2.5-year term January 2025 to June 2027 |
Monthly time commitment (approx. 10 hrs/month total)
· Monthly meetings, last Thursday of the month (2.5 hrs/month) o Board Education Session: 5:30 – 6:00 pm o Board Meeting: 6:00 – 8:00 pm o In person, at CMHA WW offices in Guelph and KW area o No meetings in December or summer · Serve on the Board Resources Committee. Topics include finance, HR and capital building (virtual, 1.5 hrs/month) · Review meeting materials (2 to 4 hrs/month) Additional time commitments · New member onboarding (flexible time commitment) · Encouraged to take part in other CMHA WW events, such as fundraisers and Ethics Forums. |
Who can apply?
We welcome all applicants who possess skills, experiences and areas of expertise as identified above. We are particularly interested in individuals with a Finance background, ideally in the broader health care and/or not-for- profit sector.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and ideally live in Wellington County, Guelph or Waterloo Region.
