Building Resilient and Diverse Communities

In March this year, Capacity Canada invited young changemakers from

diverse communities across the country to apply for its nine-month paid Apprenticeship Program – Resilient and Diverse Communities By Design. The program is generously supported by Suncor Energy Foundation.

Nickolas Collinet from the Create Vancouver Society is one of the four apprentices that were selected.

Nickolas and his team members are incorporating their learnings from the program to support their mission to connect people through music in re-imagined urban spaces.

Creatively supporting non-profits across Canada

Every year, Capacity Canada invites non-profit organizations from across the country to apply to participate in Creative Day for Social Good (CD4SG). Around 100 students pursuing Public Relations and Graphic Design from Conestoga College team up with industry professionals to create free-of-cost marketing tools for participating charitable non-profits. At the recently concluded event, 11 non-profits were selected from across the country, and the teams together produced more than $100,000 of pro bono work!
