Purpose: To acknowledge and celebrate the progress towards Excellence in Board Governance achieved by organizations who have participated in Board Governance BootCamps since 2016.

The Award: The winning organization will be welcomed into Capacity Canada’s Hall of Fame with receipt of this Excellence in Board Governance Award on Opening Night, December 2, 2021 at Capacity Canada’s Board Governance BootCamp. The Award includes an unrestricted prize of $5,000.

Candidates: This Award is open to all charities wherein board leaders have graduated from Governance BootCamps since 2016. Charities may either nominate themselves or be nominated by another organization who have participated in the BootCamp program.

Application Process: The application form is accessible below and will be submitted electronically within the following guidelines:

  • Include the organization Mission and Vision
  • Identification of the Board governance achievement(s) related to the specific learning of your BootCamp experience
  • Overview of why your organization is deserving of this Award
  • Board Leaders will be engaged in preparing nomination
  • All nominations will be treated confidentially with the exception of the organization selected for the Award.
