OCA & ONCA amendments passed

On Nov. 1, 2017, the Cutting Unnecessary Red Tape Act, 2017 (Bill 154) passed. It will take effect when it gets “Royal Assent”. When it takes effect, this Act will make changes to Ontario’s Corporations Act (OCA) and to the Ontario Not-for-Profit Corporations Act (2010) that are not reflected on the Get Ready for the ONCA site. CLEO will update the site as soon as possible.

Most organizations should not make changes to comply with the ONCA yet. The date that the ONCA will come into force is still not known.

Meanwhile, you can read about some of the changes in Bill 154 at the following links.  CLEO is not responsible for the content at the links.
