Equity in Leadership Peer Circle

Capacity Canada’s Equity in Leadership Peer Circle supports and connects executive directors from marginalized or underrepresented communities, including leaders with disabilities, and leaders from Black, Indigenous, racialized, and 2SLGBTQ+ communities. This monthly peer group offers a confidential, supportive environment to share challenges, learn from guest speakers, and build meaningful connections across identity‑based nonprofits in Waterloo Region.

Board Chair Peer to Peer

This In-person and online board peer support group is tailored for new or current nonprofit board chairs . Participants will connect with others navigating similar challenges while exploring practical strategies and emerging practices—from building a strong board culture and managing tough conversations to deepening collaboration with the chief executive. Through shared insights and support, you’ll gain the confidence and tools to lead effectively.

Designed for CEOs of not-for-profit and charitable organizations in Southern Ontario, this peer group supports leaders navigating complex missions, dynamic operating models, and evolving challenges. Participants join a cohort of 8-10 CEOs for six full-day, professionally facilitated sessions each year, featuring guest speakers, confidential peer discussions, and one-on-one executive coaching. Participation is by invitation only but inquiries from CEO’s of mid to large-size charities and non-profits are welcome.

This peer group is offered in person and virtual. It is made for Chief Operating Officers and senior operational leaders in the nonprofit and charitable sector. The COO Peer Group gives a space for members to meet and talk with other people who are navigating the complexities of organizational operations people leadership, system management, strategic execution and mission driven tasks. Through learning and supporting one another members of the COO Peer Group grow stronger in leading operational excellence and making a big impact.
