Capacity Canada Moves to New Location

Waterloo Region – September 16, 2021 – Capacity Canada has relocated to the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) Campus, 67 Erb Street West in Waterloo, Ontario, on September 16.

The CIGI campus, which has received a Governor General’s Medal in Architecture, houses the Centre for International Governance Innovation and the Balsillie School of International Affairs. Capacity Canada is delighted to announce the move and excited to be sharing its office with CIGI.

“We are excited to move into the new space at the CIGI campus. The new location will provide us with more space and help us foster new partnerships in the community we serve. We look forward to continuing working with our partners in the community from our new office.”

Capacity Canada is a registered charity that helps non-profits leverage their strengths by allowing them to exercise new ideas to fill unmet needs in their communities. It provides the resources and professional supports that enhance leadership skills, stimulate cross-sector collaboration, promote knowledge sharing, and encourage social innovation.

Founded in 2009, Capacity Canada has been based at the Accelerator Centre at 295 Hagey Boulevard in Waterloo since 2010. The move to a different location marks the beginning of a new chapter and highlights Capacity Canada’s ever-evolving partnerships in the region and across Canada. From offering programs such as the Board Governance BootCamp to online governance workshops across the country, Capacity Canada has had a national impact in building the capacity of the non-profit sector.
