The demand for stronger organizations through better board governance knows no borders.
Participants from the board governance boot camp Capacity Canada held in st. John’s, N.L. last May reconvened Oct. 19 for graduation. They reported on what happened when they applied what they learned at the boot camp to challenges in their organizations. Capacity’s local partner in St. John’s is Community Sector Council Newfoundland and Labrador.
Capacity also held a boot camp in Hamilton, Ont., Sept. 29-Oct. 1, with two partners: the Cowan Foundation and the United Way Burlington & Greater Hamilton. That group graduated Dec. 1, with participants sharing the experiences they had as their boards adopted new decision-making tools.
