Capacity Canada friends are invited to join a seminar on Digital Risk, including:

  • privacy issues in digital media advertising;
  • exposures for social media;
  • implications of the Internet of Things; and
  • potential liabilities for “Big Data” collection and use.

 Additional topics will focus on CASL’s looming private right of action – scheduled to come into force July 1, 2017 – and developing risk management programs for information security.

The event takes place in Toronto on Dec. 1, 2016 at the  St. Andrews Club and Conference Centre (150 King St West, 27th Floor, Toronto, ON M5H 1J9). Online only tickets for the live webinar are also available.

We are very pleased to have as a Keynote Speakers, representatives of both the Ontario Information and Privacy Commissioner’s Office and the federal Office of the Privacy Commissioner. The seminar will give participants an excellent opportunity to hear first-hand these regulators’ views on recent developments as well emerging issues in the digital space, such as consent and online reputation.
