Next Gen Men Board of Directors (volunteer)

Next Gen Men (NGM), is looking for dynamic and skilled leaders to join our Board of Directors. NGM is seeking nominations for the following roles:

  • Treasurer & Finance Committee Chair
  • Strategic Partnerships Director
  • Governance Director & Committee Chair
  • People & Culture Committee
  • General Interest

Next Gen Men is working towards a future where boys & men feel less pain, and cause less harm by promoting positive masculinities, mental wellness, healthy relationships, and gender equity among youth, in communities, and at workplaces across Canada.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re not your typical not-for-profit board. Our organization operates more like a startup, and we need individuals who are passionate about innovation, driven by purpose, and ready to support our Executive Director as we move into an exciting new phase of growth.

We’re looking for board members who embody the following:

You Believe in Our Mission

You don’t just agree with our goals—you are deeply invested in the idea of creating a world where men and boys are free to express themselves authentically. You are committed to reducing gender-based violence and supporting healthy expressions of masculinity, understanding that this work is critical for broader gender equity.

You Thrive on Innovation and Bold Thinking

We’re at a stage where innovation isn’t just encouraged—it’s necessary. We need people who can challenge the status quo, support our Executive Director in pushing boundaries, and spark ideas that move us closer to our mission.

You Demonstrate Proven Leadership

Whether in your workplace or community, you’ve pursued your own version of influence. Now, you’re ready to bring that leadership to a not-for-profit space that operates like a startup. You’ll help our Executive Director navigate complex decisions and hold the organization accountable to its goals while inspiring a new wave of growth.

You Value Commitment and Accountability

We don’t just want board members who sit in a meeting once a month. We need people who are willing to engage, share their expertise, and be active participants in the growth of our organization. You’re ready to collaborate, communicate openly, and make a real commitment to driving Next Gen Men forward.

Why this Opportunity is Unique

Our Executive Director was recently accepted into the Masters of Social Innovation program at the London School of Economics. We need bold leaders to inspire and support him through this exciting next phase of growth and impact.

We’re about to launch our first issue of VoiceMale magazine, on track to become the “Harvard Business Review” of masculinities.

We’re ready to expand our reach beyond Canada—the world is our oyster, and we need leaders who can help us seize that opportunity.
